Ok, so for those of us who have 360's, some of us will have the new update for the xbox, i was just curious to see what people think on it.

Personally, i don't mind it, though navigating the marketplace is a bit bothersome at the moment, still getting my barings for it, other than that its not to bad. The whole "avatar" thing does seem a little cheesey though if i'm being honest, i guess though it is Microsofts version of the Mii as well as Sony's version, which i always forget the name off.

the thing i really like about it is the ability to install the games to hard drive, means alot less noise from the dvd drive when playing games.

I was really against it but it's actually pretty cool and I finally got to delete that 0g game off my tag.

Shame they stole Mii's off the Wii since they're actually way better.

It looks nice enough, but for ease of use the old blades were the best. ( And yes, I know if you press the dasboard button you get a mini version of the blades to use, but it's just not the same. )

For presentaion the NXE is very good, but it's just full of crap that you either don't care about or are only going to use very rarely.

If you could disable certain categories, i'd be happy.

The Marketplace is crap now. Just...what was the point?
To complete with the Wii and PSTriple.

I've actually gotten used to it now. There is one question i have though, any ideas on what community games are? since i presume they've only been introduced with this.

Oh, btw, anyone tried installing any games onto their hard-drives yet? I REALLY want to do it with Lost Odyssey, but I only have 20GIG.

I've seen more people having problems (or just not noticing a difference) with the installs.

The volume thing is a big difference, but I've tried it with Bond and Smackdown...there's no visible difference in load times and Smackdown gets noticeable slowdown at the start of matches.

Other games have been affected too, from what I've seen around.

It's a ******* rip off of the ****** wii setup. Microsoft needs to do it's own thing.

To be honest, that not true at all really, its completely different to the Wii menu, and it still does its own thing, bar the fact that its now gotten itself avatars which are used in games, like the Mii's. Thats it. The Wii's setup is fine as well, straight forward to use so i don't see the problem.
