I believe it's up to what lower wages mean.Some companies get foreigners simply because some of these accept rates below minimum wage or even accept to be explored, such as work 10 hours, get paid 7.This is hardly fair for the foreigner or the british, the difference is, the foreigner might have come from such a bad place, that even though they are being explored, they wold not mind.Before moving to UK I had 11 ~12 hour working day. Reducing it to 10 hours a day? WOW, that sounds like prue win.:/
