The Disappearance of haruhi suzumiya Blu-Ray?

I believe they were going to release it on blu-ray, but got cold feet before it got released and cancelled it :(
They did say that the masters they received didn't work on a PS3 (which was found to be total BS by one person who purchased the Australian version and found that it did work) and had to re-author the disc, but they cancelled the release after they said that there wouldn't be much profit in releasing it (they said the same for the K-On! blu-ray after sales of the single DVD's wasn't what they expected, even though most were waiting for that complete blu-ray set instead of buying the DVD single volumes).

That is why I started purchasing US BD releases instead of waiting for a domestic release that will never come.

And as for the Australian version, you might be able to get it from Australia directly, but don't hold out hope that they'll get stock as another online shop in Australia is showing it as OOP (probably because they've released a mega set on DVD with the movie included, and since they didn't do a BD release of the series it's likely that is the reason why the BD version of the movie has been dropped).

"No Longer Available through Supplier" - Sounds like Madman have made it out of print.

I have found some one selling it comes to £25 including postage and the person told me i am unlikely to get import fees

Import fees are hit and miss, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't get lucky and get hit with charges

If it's person to person and they tick gift on the declaration you'll probably get away with it as your good up to £36 value.

You still need to be careful though. My most recent order from CD Japan was pulled and I was charged because they used a pre-printed Customs Label.
Apparently their logic is that an individual wouldn't use a pre-printed label.

That's fairly sound logic unfortunately, pre-printing a label implies you send a lot via post which in turn implies your likely to be an e-bay seller not a friend sending a gift. Not 100% guaranteed but they have far more correct hits than wrong with this logic I'd wager.
