The coming box sets.

I'm wondering if anyone could fill me in on what the coming box sets of series (mainly from MVM) are like.

For example the Serial Experiments Lain or the recently released Chobits box set, are these in artboxes or the common in the UK M-lock plastic cases?

Thanks in advance for any information (or pictures :D)

Just a thought as well, since I've been 'gone' from the world of anime, the UK market seems to have changed considerably, in a good way.
So yeah, awesome :)
 
Each company seems to be releasing a boxset a month. This month from MVM is the Tenchi Muyo! movie box set, from ADV is the Hellsing Thinpack pefect collection, and from Beez is the Yukikaze perfect collection box set.

Love Hina is scheduled from MVM for May, Rurouni Kenshin deluxe box set from ADV (I'll be personally interested in that one), but nothing from Beez.

I was going to mention that as well.
If ADV's release of the NGE Platimum collection is anything to go by, this should be something special and what a great excuse to watch a bit of Kenshin again : P

I noticed that earlier, but i thought it was a pricing error.

I've pre-ordered it anyway just in case. If they hike it up to 40-odd quid then I'll cancel so there's no loss in trying. :)

for some reason i am having trouble with play.com
i have signed in and i have selected 'buy' on the trigun boxset page.
but when i go to checkout nothing it says i have no outstanding orders
also please note that i hardly use play.com, i have only used it around twice some years ago so i havnt pre-ordered anything of them
 
Play.com Cocked up in a similar way with Dai-Guard boxset, listing it for £17.99. They only put it right a few weeks ago. lol :D

If the Trigun boxset price is honoured though it's a git. I only bought the first disk last week. :( :?


-Edit- Just tried ordering one myself, everything went through as normal, except it never left the shopping basket and no outstanding order, same as you. :?
 
I had exactly the same problem on Play with the Trigun box set two days ago. It wouldn't leave my basket and kept telling me I had 'no outstanding orders'.

Tried again today and it went through perfectly. Never had that problem before.

i keep getting the same problem -_-
i think i will e-mail them about it....however if i do that the may catch onto the mis-pricing of trigun....hmmm what to do?

-EDIT- i just tried doing the same thing but using IE, and it all went through fine...and i ordered it...finally....
something is odd with my Firefox.
oh well.

if your talking about the one i am thinking about then at least you got the kool limited edition TIN sets with cool packaging, extras and bonus gift with each set.

i feel like being extra and put pics of it here 8)

makes me wonder how the uk one is going to be packaged..hopefully it should be a thinpack like the Chobits boxset peeps are talking about.
 
Talking about those tin sets. I managed to get them for £15 each off of amazon. Kya!

The only thing I don't like about them is that they're annoying to put on the shelf.
 
The rrp for the new trigun set is £59.99 on amazon. But being sold for £44.99

Does play work like amazon, asin selling for the price you ordered at ???
