This review is a massive oversimplification of what The Boxer is actually about. For instance, saying Yu ‘doesn’t care about anything’ is totally inaccurate. He’s had emotion literally beat out of him as a result of his upbringing. The manwha and its illustrations not ‘dark and gloomy’ as you claim. The plot deals with serious topics of abuse and imbalances of power which are sometimes reflected in the art. There are plenty of illustrations that reflect more uplifting themes, which you neglected to mention. Maybe you lack the maturity to handle serious topics? Either way, I would thank you for refraining from offering half-baked opinions on the series as a whole when you haven’t read it all. Thanks.
