Namco Bandai Europe have now released Tales of Vesperia on Xbox Live Games on Demand for £19.99 or 2400 Microsoft Points.

I found a actual retail copy preowned at HMV for £20 a while back.

But this is good news, guessing Namco Bandai saw this as a profitable move, to have a small print run initially and increase demand.

Curious if the hard copies will still remain as profitable now. Hmm. Reaper? Thoughts?
They'll drop but not beyond normal OOP and of note game prices. Compare to what Gamecube JRPGs go for (£40-60).

Radient Silvergun is still £90 down from around £200, after the XBLA port anouncement. It's still expensive, but it did go down.

Means it's now only of demand to collectors and harcore otaku, not people who want to actualy play it as well.

So half current prices, but still more than RRP.

Well with a price of £20 for a download, I can't see the used prices dropping that much for Tales of Vesperia. If they do drop in future it probably because the general demand for physical copy of the game has dropped and not because the introduction of this download.

People still want to hard copies of games, as they see it as investment which they can always sell later on. As if you buy a rare second hand game for £60, If you sell it you would probably get the £60 back minus a small loss of send the item to them and other cost i.e ebay.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night selling something like £60-£100 second hand even with it being available much cheaper to download on xbox live.

The only way I can see the price of physical copies of Tales of Vesperia going down is if another print run is made.
