Street Fighter II

Yeah it is, in fact the one released before it was the uncut version as well from what i can gather (if they didn't cut the Chun Li shower scene out then they probably didn't cut anything else out either) I may give that and Street Fighter Alpha a rewatch as well before IV hits. Though stay away from the piece of garbage that is SF Alpha 2: Generations.

You're better off watching the Japanese version, though. The transfer is cleaner and there's a few extra scenes, including an extended shower sequence with more Chun-Li arse. When I was fourteen, that scene was the best thing ever.

yeh it is uncut... i had a copy about 7 years ago and it was uncut, i dnt think there ever was a cut version in the uk.

and i also liked street fighter alpha generations, its a very good watch, much much better quality than street fighter alpha.

Yep, as far as I know that's totally right. They cut it for the US release but we've always had a good non-cut version. The latest release has both dub and sub versions so there's no real problems anywhere really. (and retails for cheap as well if you dig round)

Wouldn't mind a release of Street Fighter V over here... my videos are looking a little tired. Also looking forward to seeing the anime that comes with the new game.

The version you get on Street Fighter anniversary collection is cut, that's the only copy I had till' now. Thanks guys!

Is that the version of the game which has the Street Fighter 2 collection (i forgot the proper name) and Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike?

Cool :) i only wanted that game because of Street Fighter 3 to be honest, the SF2 game was an added bonus (was just as hard as i remembered) the SF2 anime was an unwanted extra since i already had the DVD. Although its thankful that Namco didn't follow suite and package the Tekken anime movie onto one of their games. That anime was worse then SF A2: Generations

am i the only one who enjoyed sfa generations?

what was wrong with it? i mean i think it did its best given the source material.

i think its been widly misinterrupted... i remember reading a serious review where the got the reviewer got the whole storyline wrong saying that "akuma training with ryu was just bizare" not realising that it wasnt ryu, it was a young gouken, who in this movie is ryu's master but also his uncle and they looked alot alike

My main problem was it was billed as a sequel to SFA when that don't even connect at all. I mean i was angry for the first film to hint at an Akuma/Ryu match up and never delivers it (it rubs salt into the wound when you show that match starting at the credits). The fight itself wasn't as impressive to me as the fight between Ryu and Bison at the end of SFII. Besides the Akuma/ Ryu fight, the movie trode the same ground as the first SFA movie, with Ryu's fight against the Dark Hadou inside of him, something which he overcame in the first movie and proved he didn't need.

Its been a while since i've seen it now, so i can't remember much about the animation itself though i think back at the time it bugged me. In the end though i just couldn't get into it, so i didn't enjoy it, but that's just me.

i agree with you about the sequal thing and no new real ground, but i found it far superior to sfa... ive seen street fighter alpha twice and have tried watchin it afew times since, as recently as afew weeks ago and as a build up to street fighter 4, but i just cudnt get into, the animation is poor, the acting is worse and the storyline is on par with wet paint.... oh also the little kid who had nothing to with nothing was just irritating.

as for sfag i liked the animation altho at times it can be a bit of an eye sore. i liked the acting, very well performed. i liked the back story and i also liked sakura, who in sfa i cudnt stand.

on a side note, has any1 watched this new dvd, Street Fighter: Round One - FIGHT!
i havent seen it yet but im wondering whether its worth my while

If that's the DVD i'm thinking of i think that may be the Amercian Street Fighter cartoon, which i didn't know existed till recently. Personnally i still think SF2 is the best of the Street Fighter animations.
