I have been so loving this series that this is awesome news.

I just hope that the series doesn't end on a complete cliffhanger for the film, and gets some degree of resolution. I don't think I could wait the two or three years for a potential movie to be licenced and brought to the UK to resolve a complete cliffhanger.

It seems this is a recent trend; "End Series. Announce movie after final episode". I'll have to see how the anime ends before I can start jumping in joy...one thing that annoyed me with Eden of the East is how I have to wait for the movies to come out (Sure, King of Eden is out now...but I don't have money atm T_T).

Good to see the movie news though, I enjoyed the single episode I watched much more than I'd expected and I'm looking forward to getting into it properly later.

Steins;Gate has been the fangasm for me for the last few weeks. I love shows that make me impatient to watch the next.
 
After watching 24, I'm more optimistic for this movie. There was only a small hint of what could happen in the future (Lab member 008 arriving in 7 years), unlike other shows that leave the ending to be resolved in the movies (Eden of the East much? >>).

How did no-one make a time travel joke in amongst all the discussion about who posted first? :(

I am tentatively excited about this news. I hope it is maybe going to be based on the plot to S;G 8bit, and won't in some way impact on how they draw the TV series to a close.
