The Boss
South-korean action-terror Manwha is to be adapted into a live-action with a star cast.

"Priest" is assembling quite the cast already -- in addition to "Twilight" actor Cam Gigandet and "True Blood" star Stephen Moyer, among several others, a trio of new actors have just been announced for the project.

According to multiple sources, actress Madchen Amick and actors Christopher Plummer and Brad Dourif are joining the cast of "Priest," based on the popular manga (sic) series of the same name.

Paul Bettany stars as the titular warrior priest who must track down his kidnapped niece, presumably abducted by a group of vicious vampires. Variety reports that Amick will play Shannon, the mother of the kidnapped niece and wife of Stephen Moyer's still unnamed character. Although Dourif and Plummer's roles aren't entirely clear yet, director Scott Stewart announced their casting by way of Twitter.

Given "Priest's" blend of horror and Western elements, Dourif should be right at home in the manga adaptation. The actor is perhaps best known for supplying the voice of Chucky in the "Child's Play" films, though he's also held sinister roles in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "Alien Resurrection." Additionally, he had a long recurring role on "Deadwood," HBO's Western series, as Doctor Cochran. Whether he'll play a similarly goodhearted character or one of his notoriously creepy ones remains to be seen.

Most recently, Plummer lent his voice to one of the nine stitchpunks in the aptly titled "9" by director Shane Acker, but the actor is well known for many other characters, including the vocally-talented Captain Georg Von Trapp in "The Sound of Music" and the titular role in "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus," which showcases "The Dark Knight" actor Heath Ledger's final performance.

This reminds me I keep thinking about picking up the books this could be a good time to do it.

It could be a good film with some of the names. Paul Bettany was great in Knights Tale. Also he should have been John Constantine in Constantine as he is blond and British unlike Keanu.
