Jer Allford (Head Editor) of the independent US comics publisher Purrsia Press has got in contact to get the word out about their latest anthology - a collection of "manga-styled" stories from some of the best UK "underground" artists, going under the simple banner of "U.K. Manga". For those interested, the short press release below explains everything in more detail:
  • "Independent comics publisher Purrsia Press has just completed issue #1 of their brand new manga-styled anthology, "U.K. Manga". It is a collection of short original comic stories directly from Britain's vastly growing underground dojinshi set. This includes material by international fan-favorite artist "Foxy", and Rising Stars Of Manga winner Emma Vieceli. It contains the very popular Boiled Spoons comic and its spinoff Burnt Soup, as well as The Life Of Nikuya straight from the British fanzine Animosity. Issue #1 is on sale now at http://www.purrsiapress.com , with issue #2 due out in Febuary 2007."

I care not for Perasia press.

Full of art thieves who crop signatures.
Where did that random thought come from? Is that a nickname for Purrsia Press or have you misread the name?

I personally don't go for this "World Manga" stuff. They are comics and always will be so why do they bother trying to claim they are manga? But there has already been too much debate on that so I'll leave it at that myself.
