Soldiers got pregnant? Court martial them!

He said married soldiers in combat zones should either put their love lives on hold - or take precautions.
Don't quite a few people already object to such an 'alternative'?

Alas, I doubt members of the armed forces are in much of a position to contest the regulations of their superiors.

I can see both sides of this one. No other job would result in dismissal for becoming pregnant, but then no other job requires people to put their lives on the line the way soldiers do. If you work in an office, no harm is going to come to your baby if you continue to work while pregnant - the same can't be said of the battlefield.

Agreed. Also your pregnancy could put the other soldiers in your unit at risk if it starts to prevent you from preforming to your full potential. Simple fact, in the battle field if you get pregnant you're a liability and you could (potential) cause the death of others - you can't continue to work there and if you're angry about that then you shouldn't have gotten pregnant, basically it's your own fault.

May sound a little harsh but that is the way it is. Maybe a pregnant soldier can go into an administrative or recruitment role for the duration of the pregnancy then return to the battlefield after.

Court martial, I'm not sure about. Someone could deliberately get pregnant to return home which isn't right. Even accidental pregnancy causes problems you lose soldiers which are needed. Some kind of punishment would seem appropriate for both the man and woman involved to prevent it.

If they did take precautions then they should not be punished, because there is only so much you can do & there is always the chance precautions could fail.
