ShopManga site launching next week

I read on MangaUK's Twitter account that next week they are launching a new "ShopManga" site. They mention that it will accept PayPal as well as credit and debit cards.

Doesn't MangaUK already have enough outlets to retail from? It already dominates the market.

Manga did already have an online shop 'ShopManga' however it's been down for however many months.

The shop itself isn't new, it's just by the sounds of things been revamped.

As long as it's competitive (similar) with these other retail outlets that sell their stuff, then I'd be happy to buy from it!

Not at the moment though trying to save up for the holidays!

The website has just gone live - but I'm not going to bother with it as just about everything on it is more expensive than on Amazon, Play, HMV and United Publications.

Yeah...I would have expected getting something straight from the distributor would have made it cheaper....

Could have at least had same or similar prices though. Not a few quid more.

They can't undercut their retail partners. They are looking into offering exclusives or deals (the example was spend £30 and get the Akira steelbook for a tenner).
When ADV US had their own store selling overstock they used to have to deface the boxes by drilling through the barcodes.

Maybe they'll do an MVM style deal of the week. Or have a special offers section for clearing out old stock.
