Im trying to prove to my friends that girls can like shonen and boys can like shojo manga.
If your a girl post the shonen manga you like and if your a boy post the shojo manga you like.

im a girl and the shonen manga i like are
Inuyash
Naruto
Bleach
Fullmetal Alchemist.

I haven't read any Shojo. It doesn't appeal to boys as much as Shonen can appeal to girls.

Inuyasha, for example, is technically Shonen but 90% of it's fanbase is female. I can't think of a Shojo equivalent.

Well, as far as shoujo goes I have enjoyed Fruits Basket, Cardcaptor Sakura, Angelic Layer and Sailor Moon. There are others I have thought about sampling but have never gotten around to reading.

About 40-50% of the readership of Shounen Jump (can't remember if those are Japanese or American stats) are female, and I can remember in one of the first volume of the Rurouni Kenshin manga, Watsuki mentioning that although it was a shounen titles, over 80% of the fan mail he had gotten came from female fans.

If you were talking about their anime equivalent i could help with your argument, i love Shounen anime, but manga not so much. It's only really because i just can't quite feel the flow of the fights when they arn't moving

90% of my manga is shojo. I find that shojo manga's and anime have a more indepth story and some great artwork and in the end some can be vastly different to shonen.
