I bought this series from Amazon and the dvd's case's are slims for vol 3 and the ova.

Volume 1 - regular dvd case with 2 discs and small booklet
Volume 2 - regular dvd case with 2 discs and small booklet
Volume 3 - Slim dvd case with 2 discs
OVA - Slim dvd case

Is this the way they were actually released or has the seller sold the slims from a re-release by mistake.

My version is all slims, I bought it brand new w/ the outer case.

I did get mine pretty late after the initial release so no idea if they were initially sold in regular cases but it does sound weird to me.

This is how it was officially released by Manga Entertainment, mine is the same. The two discs for each volume of the main series have a different (Dolby and DTS) soundtrack on either disc.

thanks for answering back, though when the cases are lined up it's really going to look odd.

I bought the singles and they were all regular cases, the box set I saw I could of sworn was all slims.

Something I always try to remember with DvDs and such is that it's more important that the discs play fine than the boxs are all super shiny.

I brought the boxset first then when manga force sent them in singles I had to sell the boxset and but the ova

I have a boxset but it's all regular cases. I think it might be viz media rather than manga though, and the OVA came separately? I've never seen a half slim half single set!
