Shaving Habits

Hello people,

Due to recent topics in the general convo thread...i've ben wondering.

shaving habits....

Now do you (as blokes) have any? keep a particular style? Whats your other halfs opinion on it?

Ladies, Do you have any preferences?

Me personally, i sport a goatie most of the time. however from time to time i shave it off (usually when it starts getting too much for me) picture shaggy from scooby doo, give him abit more of a goatie....you've got me.

My gf doesn't mind it....but constantly makes comments regarding it which are sometimes negative.

Foot note: Chaz wants to know ladies shaving habits too.

I shave cleanly so I dont have a beard. Personally, I shave after it borderlines stubbling and growing tiny strands, so I'm not using it too frequently.

In terms of what I use, I use mainly Gillette items. Usual shaving = Blue II Plus razors, and for smart appearences = Mach 3. I prefer the foam as it's straight on slap on, but the gel is the more commonly used one in our family, so I use that atm.

And what do you mean "as blokes"? Women shave their legs too! ;)

Ahh, now i use the Gillette fusion. the extra blade comes in handy for the top lip and the sideburn area's.

I prefer the foam myself. although i've gone in to have a shower then shave and found that others in the house have stolen my[\b]my shaving foam for themself!

If i shave i look about 17. if i don't i normally look early 20's.

Edit: *sigh* Mutsumi *shakes head*

I have a full beard that I keep under control with a trimmer. When I can be arsed, that is; at the moment I resemble a hobo. I can't even remember the last time my face was clean shaven. It just don't feel right any more.

if I shave I look human, if I don't... =P

I use gillete fusion as well. I tried to use Wilkinson sword once (quattro?), but it lasted only for 3 shavings.

I'm considering buying an electric one, but I'm not sure if they are any good.

It's worth it IMO, they're pretty quick, so they're good if you need to go the college and whatnot in the morning. As far as hair removal goes, they're pretty good for getting rid of that face-fuzz

Thanks. Any recommendation?

I could never stand electric ones, they just don't get the job done. Besides theres no danger, wheres the fun in that?
Wet shave all the way. Although mine does vibrate a little, which helps.

Let it grow. Shave it when the stubble starts to itch. Repeat. <-- My only real 'habit' of note.

That sounds more or less like what i do. I generally wait until it gets really itchy before i usually shave. I tried to see the results of growing a beard for a couple months, but it never really worked out much. May try again at some point in the near future, but at present, its probably not gonna happen.

I shave if I'm not being lazy or if it itches too much. I use Gillette mach 3 and prefer using a shaving brush and soap to using foam or gel.

I found its best to shave then go in the shower. From past experience if you get a cut the running water in the shower after will ensure no sign is left.

Haha, Just noticed the edit, tachi. XD
Maybe we should ask for pictures too. Handsome shaved/unshaved faces from the guys and sleek legs from the lasses. (Well, since a certain picture has been painted of me, I may as well add a few *ahem* strokes.)

Gillette Fusion user here. Right now I shave my whole face except my sideburns. I've never had them before so I want to try growing some to see how it goes. During my teens I'd shave once every 4 days but now I shave once per week to save money.

When a 'proper' shave is called for, I bring forth my old Aldi razor and shave foam. Purpose built mechanical options would leave me out of pocket by an unfavourable sum.

I generally use a trimmer to maintain some degree of stubble, I don't like how young I look when I shave cleanly. Over the last couple of weeks I did happen to grow a decent beard because I lost my shaver adapter (seriously, what's the point? Why do shavers have different plugs? Why?) and also couldn't be arsed. It's been taken care of today though.

I don't have a habit, I like to change my facial hair all the time. I started getting chin hair quite young so I started off with side'es and chin hair. Had that for several years. Since then I've had chin straps, chops, handle bars, the lot. I'm modeling a full beard at this moment in time like. I only use some hairdressing clippers and a braun electric shaver.

My only regret is when I shave everything off and I feel light and cold. doesn't take long to grow back thank god. :p

lmao why am i picturing Voddas as jesus?

I get annoyed at the amount of time it takes to grow facial hair....its next to nothing.

For instance, last week i gave the cheeks and neck and top lip a shave, was a dry shave so i regretted it when i got 2 spots ¬_¬
then yesterday i had to shave AGAIN because i was going out for a meal and the hair was actually growing back to a fair length. once again everything except the goatie i frequently have. went a few hours....and that was it, bristles on the neck again. thing was, hours before it was silky smooth ¬_¬
