Scottish Comic Con October Edinburgh

Hi,

I hope no one minds me asking about this on an Anime forum.

Has anyone been to one of these events?
I have searched for information about what sort of stalls and merchandise will be sold but can find almost nothing.

The website does list the celebrities attending for pictures/autographs but that's not really my thing.
Although Zelda from Sabrina the Teenage Witch will be there. 😍
It does not list any exhibitors.
So £27 sounds like it could be a waste for me.

Previous reviews complained about too many different stalls all selling Funko but that's all.

Any info appreciated.

Anime connection- the English VA for a Demon Slayer character is there.

It’s organised by the same people who do the North East Scotland Comic Con in Aberdeen. I’ve been to that the last 3 years. It’s big and very commercialised, with very little in the way of actual “comic” content. It’s more like a movie and TV con. Yes, there are lots funko pops for sale, but lots of other things too. They’ll release a floor map at most a few days before the date itself, and that will list the exhibitors.

I‘ve picked up some decent anime figures, a gundam model, random DVDs and manga volumes from the cons. If the Edinburgh one is like the Aberdeen one, there won’t be a whole lot of anime related stuff there apart from figurines, maybe some prints and T-shirts, so modify your expectations accordingly. A huge number of cosplayers were anime characters though!

At least the panels are pretty good, but autographs from and photos with the celebrity guests are beyond extortionate.

Thanks, you've been very helpful.
