Ok, I started looking at the check discs last night, and y'know what?

It's only a bloody native PAL transfer!

That means no ghosting, no smearing, no judder, no interlacing artefacts, no blended frames, full use of the PAL resolution, crystal clear and sharp.

And it's got the 4% PAL speed up! So they can do it with television anime as well as film.

Hmm, interesting. Do you know who authored the disc? Siren released the series in Australia, so perhaps native PAL transfers are standard for them.

I can't tell from the discs, there's no credits screen appearing after the programme, or selectable from the menus. But, the copyright splash screen at the start of the disc is different from the usual Madman screen.

On thing's for certain. Should you be lucky enough to win, you could conceivably ditch the R1 discs and keep the R2s.
