I've taken a look at the promising first volume of MVM's duel-language re-release of Yu Yu Hakusho; containing the first four of what will end up being a 100+ episodes show- by anyone’s standards, that’s a lot of DVD volumes!<ul><span class=menu>"Yu Yu Hakusho #1 turned out to be solid, if slightly mediocre fun. I found nothing particularly exciting here, but characters like Yusuke and Kuwabara managed to hold my attention none the less. So far, it certainly isn’t as action packed as I presumed and while the dated animation isn't exactly flattering, the enthusiastic approach and fast moving plot made sure that I never felt particularly bored."</span></ul><a href="http://www.animeuknews.net/viewreview.php?showreview=99">Read full review</a>.

I liked this when I first saw it. Not sure if I'll collect the whole series though.

I'm guessing that this is pretty much the same DVD that MVM put out last time but with the Japanese track tacked on?

It's probably a little better than their first Yu Yu release attempt. The fact the Japanese track is included is a big plus, but the DVD has also been authored by Australia's Madman Ent., so the menu's have a smoother, more professional feel. That said, there are no outstanding special features beyond the typical text less openings etc.
