Only read the Manga. The first volume was really brilliant, but the following volumes just didnt' reach the same heights as the first one. Still a good series all in all (4 volumes, 5 if you get technical).

Anyway, I noticed in the review, there's not mention of Yuri, one of my favourite characters. Is he in the series still?

He most certainly is, though due to his quiet personality, he hasn't really made any impression yet. I know he is a great character (his eyebrow scar is an obvious sign of that) but the spotlight has yet to pass over his particular story.
