Review: Dai Guard

Stuart Bullen has let us know his thoughts on ADV's mecha series Dai Guard.
A light-hearted and pleasing romp that takes a distinctive approach to a staid genre, the allusions to Eva are a bit of a hindrance but not nearly bad or frequent enough to spoil your enjoyment. Whilst it never demands too much from the viewer this is a fun forward thinking series that will appeal to all but the most discerning mecha devotee.

i liked dai guard, even though it had a little power ranger monster of the week feel to it but i like the characters in it

Dai-Guard is an excellent yet sadly underrated series- I purchased it purely on the strength of the trailer but I wasn't disappointed- the novelty of giant robot pilots who actually have to deal with paperwork and damage claims makes for a refreshing change (and it's easy to imagine that that's exactly what would happen in real life). Hopefully the review will encourage more people to take a look at it.
