It's taken a while but I have finally posted my review of the sixth and final volume of Cowboy Bebop (out now in the UK from Beez). Scoring this volume with a rare 10 out of 10 (the only other anime to have received this score from us is Akira); I consider this landmark sci-fi series essential viewing.<ul class="menu2">"Cowboy Bebop #6 is perfect. The animation is iconic but buried deep within grimy layers of futuristic authenticity and Yoko Kanno’s soundtrack is as varied as ever; effortlessly switching moods between laid-back grooves and poignant and gripping dramatics. And then of course we have the climax of the series too; poetic, sad and memorable are words that immediately jump to mind but rest assured, you’re guaranteed an emotional, nigh on heart breaking experience that you won’t forget in a hurry!"</ul><a href="http://www.animeuknews.net/viewreview.php?showreview=193">Read the full review</a>.

Yup, amazing stuff, right down to the last episode. Episode 24 still sticks in my mind though, when Ed leaves, Faye's reminising and Spike and Jet are feeling sad, all played out to that 'eeeeaassee my minnnddddd' song. Its a very emotional moment.

I was surprised at the ending, but only after I had realised what happened after watching the movie.

I didn't think Spike had died, as I always thought the movie was set after the series. But I soon found out.
