RevelationFilms no longer have the UK rights for past anime

Revelation Films no longer have the UK rights to any of the Anime titles that they have released in the past. All the Anime titles in question were distributed on behalf of Funimation, Revelation Films have said it now up to Funimation to decide who will get these titles if they are ever to be released again in the UK in the near future.
So their will be no new volume to finish existing series or even cheap boxset re-release to be coming out from Revelation Films. If you want to pick up any existing Revelation Films Anime titles do so now as it while it maybe difficult now to find them , It will impossible to find them in future.

Manga need to get Beck and do a Complete Series release. I'd probably want some singles to fill up my artbox though.

Unfortunately i'm missing 2 vols from Suzuka and 3 vols from School Rumble which were never released. I do hope if anyone is going to pick them up, they gives those who have the single sets a chance to complete the collection

Yeah, this doesn't bode well in the hearts and minds of people who have waited for the last volumes of the aforementioned series. I could imagine people who have done so will just import now or, even worse, pirate everything from now on.

Should have imported last year.

Funimation are ditching the singles and going for boxsets (cramming everything onto four discs instead of six)
I wouldn't call it cramming since they're using double layered DVDs now

They've pretty much always used double layer discs.

At least when Rev went South a couple of years ago with Funi, I filled out my Beck, Suzuka, and School Rumble backlogs with the single volume discs, 4 eps to a disc. They were all dual layer.

Now that they are re-releasing stuff on four discs, it certainly saves room on packaging, but sometimes extra features don't make it across (although not often)

The biggest problem was that it took them a while to sort out the authoring. School Rumble Season 2 was one of the first series to come out on four discs, and it has some obvious aliasing issues. They sorted it out pretty quick though. My Ouran Host Club sets look fine.

The problem lies at Funimation doorstep. it's a shame it couldn't use both releveation and manga as it's guys here in the uk. it would have nice to still have another choice for anime in this country. they had great choices in anime and it's just a shame that they aren't doing it anymore. why funi couldn't have both helping them i will never know.

Revelation just weren't getting the numbers that Funimation wanted. I don't remember the exact quote or who made it, but I remember hearing about how the sales fell off for FMA when it switched from MVM to Rev.

Rev also seemed to be learning on the job, they couldn't sort out their release schedules, one a month for Spiral, Rumbling Hearts, bimonthly for FMA, Negima, Moon Phase, then every three months for Suzuka, Beck, and the rest dropping away to every four months near the end. I remember that it was closer to a year between Mushishi V5 and V6.

It isn't really Funi's fault either. It was their parent company Navarre, who wanted to keep distribution in house. Revelation is a Navarre company, a boutique label in the UK, but one that had little experience with anime until they got the Funi contract.

Well I think Manga Ent are looking into it.

@MangaUK They say "we no longer hold the UK rights to the FUNimation titles. Maybe try contacting FUNimation for future plans?"

@shiroihane we will. R any shows currently incomplete?
Hell yeah! Hell Girl, and Beck are the holes in my collection. Why FUNi never pulled these from Rev when they blessed Manga UK with their licenses, I'll never understand. I kept contacting Rev about finishing them, but only got "we will, but not until we finish other titles first". That was like 2007?
