According to <a href="http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2007-10-29/biohazard-resident-evil-cg-anime-film-announced">various reports</a>, CAPCOM and Sony Pictures Entertainment of Japan have joined forces to produce an original CG animated movie for the Resident Evil (a.k.a. Biohazard) franchise. Of course, a trilogy of US financed live action Resident Evil movies have been created over the last 5 years, but this new project (subtitled "Degeneration") is said be a completely original story, separate from the story lines running through out the action-horror movies and video games.

Robinson is an Oscar nominated animation director who's worked mainly on short films; notably "Fifty Percent Grey" and the violent "Silent City" (<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MfNyfwwfV4">stream over at YouTube</a>).
