People are being stupid over it, is the racist debate for it justified? no not really, i mean we've had normal zombies, spanish la plaga, and now we have africans, i don't think its got anything to do with race, i think its storyline has brought the game there, and thats all. If people think its down to racism in any sense they are just being stupid.

Yeah i agree; and i think you would be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't to be honest. These race rows are pathetic and the sad thing is that the more of these stupid "crying wolf" stories we get the greater the chance of something getting past the net. I'm not prejudiced but if we get story after story of "black person cries prejudice" plastered across the newspapers the general public could become uneasy and treat someone differently just because they happen to have a different skin colour or follow a different religion - just as Muslims have been demonised in the press.

Did they just demand the game to be banned? Or was there a plea for "compensation" as well?

Not at the moment.
Well not until that anti games laywer comes into the picture.

Anyone who says that Resident Evil 5 is racist are uninformed or racists themselves, plain as that. Some people may look at a glimpse of a trailer, a white man kills black people. However, these people do not see the underlying plot of the game which is that those black people were contaminated with an apparently uncurable virus. Killing those people was only to help save this fictional town/village/country the game is set in. There was a huge row on a website called blacklooks.org, because the author of the blog decided that Resident Evil 5 was racist. She got hundreds of comments on that post, the majority stating she was wrong.

So basically anyone who is against Resident Evil 5 being set in a country with black natives, and said natives turn into zombies that need to be killed to save the country, and is well informed of the facts, is racist in my opinion at least.

OMG... you have got to be ******* ******** me!?!?!

right ive just decided... I'M A RACIST... a racist against the race of people who ******* have heart failure if fart in the general direction of a black person!!

Those who play video games know that this is not an issue, those who are looking at video games from an outside perspective pull down their trousers and speak out of their ass holes as if they were some kind of industry expert. This is more stupid than the time LocoRoco was accused of being racist, and it's getting very frustrating to see people attack this industry when they absolutely have no clue what they're talking about.

All this time you've been killing white people who have become zombies in Resident Evil games. So for the first time the zombies will mainly be black, and somehow this is racist. We're racist for including black people in a video game, because obviously black people shouldn't be zombies because this is CLEARLY a white man's imaginary disease which only infects white people. I mean it's plain as day that not having any black people in your video games is far less racist than including them, it all makes sense now you see? No you don't, and neither does anyone else, that's why this is ********.

May not be entirely relavent, but the whole zombie idea originated from africa with the voodoo rituals and stuff to raise the dead, so eccentially its taking it back to its roots, and there is nothing wrong with that, except its a white person thats there dealing with the hordes of enemies which are zombies but aren't. If the roles where changed around, black main character to white zombies, would this debate be happening at all? Not nearly as much.

Whaaaaaaaat? How!?! LocoRoco is the happiest game ever made!

The good guys are yellow blobs, the bad guys are black blobs. Only an idiot wouldn't realise that this is blatantly because the developers are in fact secret Japanese KKK members attempting to spread a hidden racist message to the globe. I mean sheesh, I'm surprised the Asians haven't launched terrorist strikes against Japan for making the good guys yellow, how completely racist! [/sarcasm]
