Hi guys, found this lurking in my 4chan folder and it seems like a good place to start if your interested in other genres or are new to anime.

Just thought i'd share it here to see if anyone's interested ;)

Good lists, and with the first one, I've seen at least one in every section except romance, which is kinda cool. Saved them.

Not to steal your thunder, AF, but I believe I have an updated version of the second one.

Here

I've seen a decent amount listed, I think I'll finish off the rest at some point, too.

Cheers, i'll save that one instead as there seems to be some nice obscure shows that i havent seen yet. I notice Shigofumi on that list and i was watching it whilst it was airing but never bothered to finish beyond the first few eps, i think i'll check it out again.

What are the gaps on the first one for? I'm going to assume that Giant Robo was originally set to be placed under "Super Robots", only they couldn't find an image that captured its awesomeness.

LOL, there also missing GaoGaiGar!

Maybe its /m/'s job for that part, but knowing that board there probably to busy discussing Kamen Rider...

They miss GaoGaiGar yet included SEED? There's something really messed up there...

Remove Minami-ke and Death Note and it's an agreeable list.

I believe I've seen at least 80% of this list. Most of the shows I haven't see are mecha.

I should take a look at the others at some point. The ones that I want fomr there are the Second raid, Monster and the big O, the rest for one reason or another never really draw my attention before.

From what I've seen of TSR it's even funnier and more action packed than the first FMP. (Not funnier than FMP?F though =P)

The Second Raid is the best of FMP so far (I say so far as i've got my fingers crossed for another animated series once the final light novel is out) Although its also the darker of the three shows.

@Mae I'm not picking on Lacus directly as i've said before, I just don't like SEED...

this is probably the bets thing i've seen, and it's just made me want to watch His and Her Circumstances purely because of the art style, and the fact that it's a Rom-Com :)

Also, don't forget it's th best rom-com created in anime form. It also has the most believably and realistic couple in a tv show ever.

lol, i guess it's because it's a Shoujo style Rom-Com rather than a Shounen styled one, if you get what i mean

I get what you mean, but no, that's not it. You will understand once you watch it. It's not like they fall in love in the first episode and then its comedy comes from how they have a hard time to get together or because someone else's tries to keep them apart. It's more like their own issues get in their way.

it's a top notch series though.

I've always been under the impression that if I wanted to see Kare Kano that the manga was the way to go - so, the anime is good as well, eh? I'll keep that in mind.

The anime just covers the first few volumes of the manga. The manga goes way beyond and aboard more serious subjects as well.
