I'd go as far as to say that RahXephon is a love story in a sci-fi setting: - the romance between the characters is the overriding theme. And Ark - it was very present right from the beginning.While I didn't think RahXephon was bad, I'd still rank it lower than Eva - not due to the sci-fi plot elements (which I rather liked), but the characters - all the characters in RahXephon were so dull. I couldn't care less about any of them.
