Question about old ILC Dominion Tank Police release

I'm told it does have the Japanese language track, but I couldn't swear to it. I bought the R1 disc specifically to get both versions, only for a friend to tell me the UK release had both as well. Never actually seen his copy though. Certainly amazon lists the language as Japanese, rather than English.

I’ll look into that, since the Japanese track for Dominion sounds fun. Seems like a sillier Patlabor with cat girls. I was just interested as I know ILC released MD Geist and that only had the dub… although I don’t mind, since that dub is one of the pinnacles of bad English dubbing, and The Humanoid release apparently includes the Japanese with the subs.

Yeah, if you've not seen it before, definitely give it a shot. There's certainly some parallel thinking going on in terms of characterisation, but Dominion's bawdier and broader than Patlabor - it's a fun show. I feel the different voice tracks also change the tone to some extent. The dub replaces the wacky jpop soundtrack with moodier synths, which I think emphasises the bleak setting and gives it a certain poignancy between the knob-gags.
