I'm not sure if anything like this is in existence, sorry if it is. I just wanted to make a thread where both oldies can get nostalgic and scenes from newer games can get posted for others to see. It'll also be useful, saving me the trouble of searching for links again...providing the vids don't get deleted.
My list is going to focus on RPGs because all of my memories relating to games are RPG ones. Scroll down if you hate anything RPG related.
------------------
Wild Arms 5: Greg - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qR5jok1VAL4
Considering the (lack of) quality of the dialogue and story in general, this is a surprisingly great sequence. Up there with the best video game scenes I've seen, actually.
Grandia: Fall and Jump - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6aQYrsuRs4
^ The first three or so minutes. The only thing that took away from that scene was the use of the word "bogus". Gotta love Grandia for being such a loveable game, full of memories that stick even in my goldfish brain.
Suikoden V: Last Stand - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oPI9HXWdVI
^ Best video game last stand ever. 'Nuff said.
Suikoden II: Gorudo - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mZIOL8_ ... re=related
^ This one made me teary eyed way back when I first played it. You expect two friends to gight, only for them to join together once more because of the circumstances - great stuff.
Star Ocean 2: Destruction - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gx_1l6EfkQk
^ Had the in-game graphics been better, this scene would've been amazing.
Wild Arms: Lament - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqqPv4vs8zI
^ Using the ACF version since it looks better. The last part is excellent.
.hack//G.U.: Tri-Edge - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSb6ammdAfY
^ Just watch and you'll understand. The above has to the most epic PS2 game cut-scene when it comes to a good old fashion scrap.
Final Fantasy VII: Start of the Crisis - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56U9D-af1qw
^ The best scene in the game, and it's easy to miss. I only want to play CC because of this scene.
Breath of Fire III: Horses 'n Fire - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kSYB5YXito
^ This is the scene that sticks in my mind the most from BoFIII. The best part of the game is the start, and the above scene ends that section of the story.
Breath of Fire III: Rei's Return - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poXD2mKF8CA
^ The above is a follow-up to the previous scene; one which occurs much later. Rei is such a likeable character that I love the scene just for him.
The Legend of Dragoon: Thrust 'n Stab - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xt_RFbd-3jQ
A death scene. Death scenes always stick in the memory. I mean, Aeris' death scene transformed her from a boring, run of the mill female character and into a legend.
Suikoden II: Going Luco - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZtb8c4w ... 8697DFD09F
^ You'll have to skip to the end of this. At the end, the death of THE greatest video game villain ever is shown.
Grandia: Like Rabbits - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZIH1-5y5ko
^ Skip to the end of the credits for the most lol ending ever. I've never laughed before when ending a game - I usually feel depressed if it was good - but the Grandia ending made me lol a lot.
....there's more, but I can't be arsed to keep going. ;__;
