As much as I think Kouichi Yamadera is a worthy successor as Zenigata, that is a great shame to hear.

In light of his passing, I wonder if Kiyoshi Kobayashi might step down as Jigen - he himself turned 80 in january.

Yeah there is no doubt the future of the Lupin franchise is in good hands regarding the voice actors,but this is still a great loss,I,d like to think if there was a heaven he is up there now with Yasuo Yamada both cos playing as there characters,just got this image of Zenigata chasing Lupin even in the afterlife lol.

He is and always will be Zenigata to me, as much as the others Japanese voice actors do an admirable effort in the role, they just didn't quite get the mix of authority/humour right.

I think we'll be getting a bit more out of Kobayashi, his voice hasn't changed that much over the 45 years of doing Jigen.
