High School Of The Dead from HMV (in-store)

Was considering buying Fairy Tail from there, but seeing the online price has gone up and now matches the price on the shelves.

ok this got me thinking, if the prices online are going to match the prices that are in stores then i might aswell go to hmv stores or forbidden planet ect * where ever you get your dvds from* cause the dvds online will be the same as the in stores and then you pay extra for shipping and handling.

if its going to be like this i might aswell go to stores like i used to * at least i can get out of the house and browse i liked browsing *

Not true. Most sites that sell dvds have an option for free shipping (HMV, Zavvi, Play.com, Amazon UK).

Also how do you get to the store to buy the dvds- do you use the bus or go by car in which case there is travel costs in buying offline (I walk to my nearest shops but then it costs me in terms of time, effort and wear & tear on my shoes).

If the HMV price goes up to match in-store, buy it from an online retailer like Play or Zavvi.
There are always discount codes, etc online also. It's not very often you find things cheaper in-store and I doubt that will change.

If HMV's prices are the same online & offline then using a daysaver makes offline £3 more expensive.

The days when you come get a day rider for £3...

H.O.T.D. was the same price as online as well, I wouldn't say you might as well go to the store rather than shopping on their website. I do a mix of both as there has been a few chances where i've been able to buy DVDs cheaper in store than online in the past.

I raised up store collection to HMV last week or so, and they stated to be working on it - I wonder how they'll go about prices then. Might be why, they're aligning them together.

Why not just do whatever you would prefer, af? If you like retail shopping and it's worth an extra few quid to get out of the house for the day, do that. If you'd rather save money and stay at home, do that.

Prices are generally cheaper on-line, yes, but you don't need to justify making a choice which will cost you more to anyone else - If you want to do it, do it.
