Something I've been thinking about recently...

One Piece started October 1999,
Naruto started October 2002,
Bleach started October 2004...

So what's next, it's about time for yet another new long running anime, maybe this October it will start?

So what could this possible new anime be, I've not heard anything anywhere about a possible anime, but maybe someone here has an idea : ).
 
I've got the first 52 episodes of One Piece to watch at home. Didn't know if I should get into it though. Started watching Naruto and Bleach when they started and their still going! :eek: Do you guys think it'll be worth it? Or should I spare my sole from another long running series?

Thanks for that. Had a look into it and it seems like it could well be. I guess it'll be October 2008 to start though as an anime, if it does. Volume 5 of the manga just came out.
 
D.Gray-man is arguably the latest long running SJ-style series, whether or not it lasts as long will be another thing entirely.
 
666 Satan is apparently airing later this year. Its based off the manga created by Seishi Kishimoto (Naruto creators brother). I'm expecting that to be the next 'big' SJ title.

I really wouldn't expect to see that in england for a very very long time.

The manga is being released by VIZ (surprise, surprise) Its under the name of O-Parts Hunter. Much more acceptable in the western world.

It's Shounen Gangan [which FMA and Spiral is serialized in] not Shounen Jump. However, I too will be waiting out for the anime, as it's everything Naruto wasn't.
 
I wasn't aware a 666 Satan was in the works, but yes that will probably be the next Naruto.

There have been a lot of SJ animes over the past year or so. Gintama was supposed to be the next big SJ anime (the Manga is very very popular in Japan), but it started off badly, and in terms of popularity it hasn't recovered. But D-Grayman, Buso Renkin, Death Note and Claymore (if it counts) have all had anime adaptations in the past year.

To be fair, they kept everything else in and gave it a Older Teen Rating, I suppose they were up against the wall in regards to the book's name (I meen they keep the whole "satan" thing but it's in book rather than on cover.

I'm sure that if you were trying to release something with such a name in the US, you'd rather not have the bible belt on your ass for it. (Of course, if they call you on the contents, you can clearly tell them "Rating at the back, read it you idiots").

But 666 Satan's geting an adatpation? When was that revealed?

Same. Including the name. America (or UK) would possibly change it.
