Ninja Scroll TV series

Hovis!

Vampire Ninja
Anyone seen this?

Didn't think it was as good as the film, and the english dub came across as slightly childish (don't you just love how DVD's give you the choice of languages), but the nineth episode (the one with that creature living inside the master swordman's stomach) single handedly made this series better than it was (in my opinion).

God I loved that episode. :)

So are you saying that the DVD does give you a choice (ie. Japanese with subs) or being sarcastic 'cos it don't?

I think he's saying that he didn't like the English Dub so he's glad that DVD's give him the choice to switch back to the original language and not only have the option of English.

That's what I thought, but wasn't 100% sure...

Bit off topic, but I got an old John Woo film "hard boiled" cheap in a Virgin sale. Went to watch it and the dub was F%$*$%^ awful. Unbelieveably, it didn't have any other language options...arrgghhh. 30 mins was enough, and off it went....grrrrr

argh sounds bad, hard boiled's a great film,

isnt it strange that a movie/series sound can be ruined just by its dubbing?

so the movie is better than the series ok, memo to self don't get series

oh btw Ninja ressurection isn't the follow up to Ninja scrolls if you didn't know

I've seen the series and thought it was brilliant, loved the characters and the fight scenes were amazing, but I agree the movie is better

Spot on! :D You can have a face for that.

I was going to point that out but I come across as annoying as it is on the forum and don't want to be anymore irritating than I already am, so I'm happy you did the hard work for me! :)

Which version did you get? There are three editions of that film in the UK alone!

I managed to get the 'Collector's Edition' one (it has the choice of languages and they've done a wonderful job with the sound and picture too). I get the impression you got one of the turkeys.
