Having been under whelmed by the first two volumes of Get Backers, I was pleasantly surprised by the strong set of action packed episodes on this third volume, reviewed courtesy of ADV.<ul class="menu">"Full of inventive action and tactical fight scenes, Get Backers #3 retains the series lively and likable sense of humour but finally hands us a group of characters worth caring for."</ul><a href="http://www.animeuknews.net/viewreview.php?showreview=138">Read the full review</a>.

Go back and look through Paul's reviews of vol 1 & 2!!

I did say it picks up from volume 3, eh :D
I've just ordered volumes 5 & 6 and I get the impression volume 6 is a second season, as it comes with another artbox.

Does anyone know how many discs the uk version will consist of?
I don't really wanna start buying it untill I know (I think its 36 episodes long, isn't it?)

There are 49 episodes, but I can't remember how many eps are on each disc. I'm assuming it will be the same as the US releases, as so far the UK discs have the same eps as the US ones.

Hmmmm, it's even bigger than i thought then.

I think i'll wait a few more volumes and see how what the general feedback is before I make a desicion

Incidently, ADV's treatment of the series is rather good. So far, all three volumes have contained 5 episodes, so despite the fact Get Backers is long running, you get your moneys worth with each DVD.

Thats certainly a plus point. It's debatable whether they'll keep it up for the whole series though (that would make it about 10 discs)
But heres hoping

ADV UK tend to mirror the ADV US releases and their Get Backers is being released with a total of 10 volumes. So it's more than likely I'd say.
