New issue of Vertigo Magazine is Japanese special

Worldwide independent film magazine Vertigo, which is published in the UK and can most likely be found nationwide in Borders, have let us know about their latest issue which features an extended focus on Japanese film, including a free Takeshi Kitano cine-manga (live action stills laid out in the manga comic book style).

Ah! I like Apichatpong Weerasethakul. Well, I think I would. He made that lovely-looking shônen-ai film, which has a poster by M/M (Paris) and was nominated for the BBC world cinema award, but to my knowledge it has never been released on DVD here.
