The fourth and final part of Production I.G.'s OVA series <em>Ghost in the Shell: Arise</em> is set to open in Japan tomorrow, but the official site for the latest adaptation has revealed that a brand new <em>Ghost in the Shell</em> feature film is in production and will be released in Japanese theatres next year. It is currently unknown if this new project will be attached to <em>Ghost in the Shell: Arise</em> or a new adaptation of Masamune Shirow's original cyberpunk manga
This will mark the first feature length <em>Ghost in the Shel</em><em>l</em> since 2006's <em>Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society</em>.
Manga Entertainment UK will be releasing Mamoru Oshii's 1995 <em>Ghost in the Shell</em> movie on blu-ray in a limited edition steelbook on 29th September and the first two parts of <em>Ghost in the Shell: Arise </em>on DVD and blu-ray on 24th November.
