As its a re-release it should keep the same cover as the old box set did:

I myself remain uninterested in Afro Samurai. This is essentially equivalent to my neutral views on Samuel L Jackson and Samurai respectively. As I understand, the aforementioned elements are the most integral ones of which this show consists, thus I couldn't simply overlook them were I to watch it.

Trust me- you're not missing out on much.

I stayed up with some mates and watched the whole series. It was the most boring action i've seen for a while. Very, very bad pacing.
 
No desire whatsoever to see Afro Samurai but I'll grab my preordered Jyu-Oh-Sei in the morning. I know it has mixed reviews but I also know I will love it.

Might check out Afro Samurai Ressurection - I won't expect anything beyond eye candy though. As nice as the animation looks I'm willing to bet the story will be by the numbers, poorly scripted revenge. I'll get it if I can find it cheapish.
 
Afro Samurai was beyond retarded.

A cyborg samurai?
A black samurai, with a ******* afro? (like all black people living in Japan during the samurai era did)
A black person who never speaks and doesn't come out with gangsta slang in an attempt to sound cool?
Monks who have hoes on-hand to use and abuse?
A voice acting team who knows nothing about anime?
A fight against a guy with a ******* rabbit mask?

...What the ****!?

It sucked as a story (it had no story), it sucked in terms of characters and the action wasn't all that. What good is decent animation if the viewer doesn't give a **** about what's going on? Not a lot is the answer. It sucked the **** of an obesse scouser with an hairy ********.

I don't expect the sequel will be any better, either. Expecting watching a black man try to figure out how to handle a sword yet again is like expecting the sequel to DB: E to be anything other than **** preserved in a fridge freezer for 10 years and then unfrozen. There's just no point even bothering with another sorry attempt at Americans getting in on the anime scene.


Wake me up when DN5 and Clay + DTB 1 come out. Then let me sleep and wake me up once again when the DN specials and Clay + DtB 2 come out.
 
Man you people are so f*****g whiney and hard to please! SO what if a story isnt dark or serious like most you people like! get a damn grip!
