New Anime Releases 24/08/2014

Jormungand Perfect Order arrived on Friday. I need to get the rest of the blue bricks at some point. Got Season 1 years ago from PlayUSA.com (remember them?) and never got the rest.

Might pick up Jormungand as I was told it was similar to Black Lagoon.
Waiting to see if my brother likes Bakemonogatari before I buy anymore from the franchise.
Tempted by Robotics;Notes as I enjoyed Steins;Gate, but might wait for a complete collection.

I still need to watch Bakemonogatari. I'll probably watch it on streaming, then pick up MVM's complete series if I like it.

How is Robotic;Notes anyway?

You're probably better off watching the BDs for Bakemonogatari since Shaft redrew loads of scenes.
Apparently the TV Broadcast of one of the episodes was also incomplete, so most of it is stills and Shaft's cut to coloured screens with text.

On Robotics;Notes, the first half is pretty good. The second half just becomes pretty stupid. The ending was also terrible.

When don't SHAFT redraw almost everything? As for the TV broadcast bit though...hmm...

So overall, not worth it?

Seems like most of SHAFT's staff must spend their time re-doing things and only a handful on what they are making for TV now, perhaps they should put a few more people on the TV version so they only have to do moderate improvements on the BD version. Unless ofc that's part of the sell BD version plan :)

I've got Robotics;Notes on order from Zavvi. Typically for them, they haven't dispatched it yet. Probably too busy cancelling orders for pricing mistakes.

I've got Jormungand, really enjoying it. Robotics;Notes I'll definitely pick up later, might wait for a complete collection.

Still need to watch the first Blu-Ray of Bakemonogatari, so pass on the Monogatari series for now.

Robotics;Notes may get when a complete set is released. Same for hopefully Jormungand (a la Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere).

Not interested in Dragon Ball either.

I'm very excited for Nekomonogatari.

I'll get the other BDs from this week eventually (I got the Funi release of DB already).

Jormungand 2 is in the post. I'm watching the first season now and I love it.

I'm a huge Monogatari fan so Neko is obviously on preorder. Unfortunately it's at Zavvi so god only knows when it will be dispatched.

I enjoyed Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate so I'll get Robotics;Notes at some point, it's a low priority though.

No interest in DBZ
Robotic notes is an eventual purchase, when its in a collection
Jormungand: Perfect Order depends on how much I enjoy the first season.

Neko BD will be with me at some point, like everyone else here I ordered it via Zavvi.
