New Anime Releases 22/09/2014

I'm awaiting on hearing about the UK release of Bodacious Space Pirate and if it's 1080P or not. Have a feeling it will turn out like the first Sentai release.

No interest in Bleach.

Tempted to get the Bodacious Space Pirates Blu-Ray.
It's so good they named it twice.

I'm fairly sure MVM release is the same as the first Sentai release. It uses four discs, whereas the new complete collection from Sentai uses three, and they appear to be cloned from that original Sentai release (in other words, not re-authored).

There's so much interesting anime being released in the next few months that I simply cannot afford Bodacious anytime soon. I'll probably pick it up next year.

Kaze reasons, I'm getting the US versions of Bleach whenever.

For 1080i reasons, I'm getting the US version of Bodacious Space Pirates whenever.

Nothing for me this week - am watching the last bits of Bleach on Crunchyroll and wasn't that impressed with the first volume of Space Pirates.

It's worth noting MVM officially put the BSP Blu-ray set back to the 29th a few weeks ago. Saying that, Amazon dispatched my copy yesterday...
They have not! It's worth noting that MVM have their very own shop and if the date hasn't changed there then MVM hasn't actually officially done anything.
MyMMag reported a false negative by not saying the delays are just for one format.

So for your and other people's convenience, check this:

And yes, "The Wind Rises" collector's edition combopack, combopack regular edition and DVD regular edition out on 29 September isn't included on the above.
I think the reason therefore is strictly my business until further ado. Don't take this the wrong way, if I don't lose my way you guys' will learn more about the above.

The UK Blu-ray cover revealed already that it'll be 1080i. All hope has been lost for a while, and to be frank... I warned ye all, and nobody wanted to help me.
But to be fair, it was reported on FaceBook once before AND by Mangaranga at the MCM London comic con.

Basically MVM did a Kaze on us, releasing inferior masters on purpose. And I don't think their idol master is Andrew Partridge, so don't expect anything better to be released.

I'd be glad to be told wrong by MVM themselves, that they'll release an actual 1080p later.
But that'd have been bad business management if they planned to do that from the get-go.
If you want a 1080p version: import from the U-S of A and let the UK BD release r-ot a-way.

I honestly rather have Sentai's region A 1080p release I can't play than this 1080i release I can play.
And yes, I know I can use the workaround on Sentai Filmworks' releases, no worries on that one. The sad thing is that the US release is a tad expensive.

So you dare doubt that? =P

I'm not sure what anything more people could have done except email and tweet them, which was done. What more could we have done to help you?
I tend not to have enough free time to scour multiple forums, Facebook, nor conventions about whether a release is 1080i, so now know to import the US version when I can. Work has been in the way lately to do more than quickly check the news forum here for me.

I really doubt MVM will re-release in 1080p. I feel this year we've been really burnt by MVM and Manga UK, which is why there's only rare titles I buy from them lately and most of my money goes to Anime Limited's releases, and a few imports.

Back on topic, but next week is when I'm looking forward to some titles.
