New Anime Releases 19/01/2014

I've got the first GT set on the way. I've been meaning to get the US ones for years, but not been that bothered. Thought the UK releases for roughly £20 was a good time to finally get them.

Why release GT and not the original Dragonball series? And why are Manga.ent promoting the hell out of it on FB? No one likes GT!

Yep GTs goku is nothing like the z goku and there's soooo many contradictions and so many things unexplained

Nothing for me this week. I saw Dragonball GT years ago when it was shown on Cable TV (shudders at the memory) so I can't see myself paying for the dvds while I havn't got season 1 of Is This a Zombie? (got better anime to get at this point) so season 2 can wait.

I probably won't pick up Dragon Ball for a certain time, unless Funimation decides to find a new way to bring DB to Blu-ray (like a Dragon Box edition).

As for Is This a Zombie, I will be waiting for the Blu-ray versions incoming this year.

No interest in DB.
Zombie 2 is on preorder, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the first season so I'm looking forward to watching this.

Says the man with a GT screen grab :p I don't mind GT, but I look at it as a movie-style "non-canon" entity, if I saw it as a legit continuation of Z I'd pull my hair out at many of the things, but much like a non-fitting Z Movies, I don't take it seriously and find I can enjoy it.

Anyway, I kind of like it being released in this order, as that's the order it was broadcast here in the UK. Z, then GT, then Dragon Ball.

Yeah it was a great move when they did that and it was a good move to have the guy who made the music to make it more epic. I mean look at the kai version if they put that music in with Bruce's music then kai would be complete.

Anyways yeah it was a good move other wise I doubt I'd even be here watching anime today cause z has the action an epicness while DB has the adventure parts but it was the action that got my interests going

My local HMV surprised me greatly by having a single copy of Zombie on the shelves (plus a copy of Nise part 2).

Maybe they do still stock MVM and it sells out quick, or maybe they are finally ordering it in.

Though they have 6+ GT sets, so I guess we know what they think will sell
