New Anime Releases 15/06/2014

Mardock Scramble is delayed to an unknown date.

-----------------------
On topic.

I'll be getting the US versions. Aesthetica's artbox in particular.

Been put off Aesthetica thanks to reviews.

Getting the Girls Und Panzer OVA Blu Rays, Mardock Blu Ray is on order but like NormanicGrav wrote, it's been delayed.

Will pick up Girls Und Panzer OVAs at a later date and Mardock Scramble, whenever it comes out, both for my brother.

It's a shame that Mardock Scramble was delayed - I was really looking forward to picking it up as I loved the first two movies.

I'm on the fence about the Girls und Panzer OVAs as I thought the series was simply "okay" and I don't like how the Japanese side is making western companies release them separately now.

Aesthetica is in the 'maybe someday' category for me.
I still need to buy the main GuP series before looking at the OVA's.
It's disappointing that Mardock has been delayed. I'm not a massive fan of the first two movies but I was still looking forward to seeing how the trilogy ends.

A rare week where I'm not getting anything because nothing appeals rather than because I already have foreign editions ^^;

Nothing for me this week,
Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero - will get either as a UK sale or a Funi S.A.V.E. edition
Girls Under Panzer - Need to get the main show first
Mardock Scramble - Glad I got the Sentai release now the UK version has been delayed

Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero. Great title. Shame the show sounds proper iffy.

Yes, they really squandered the potential of the setup. All the characters are supposed to have been to alternate worlds yet we see nothing of that and very little of the world the lead has come from. Him being a badass from the get go while sounding fresh really takes a lot of the steam out of things.

As for the releases I have the US versions of Aesthetica & Panzer

Mardock I have some passing interest in but I haven't got/seen the previous two movies so I'll pass

This seems a bit like a modern-self-entitlement usage of the word "now". Try buying OVAs at various times in the past and see how horrible and greedy these filthy Japanese companies of "now" look.

It's frustrating how successful the UK/US companies' efforts to devalue their own products have been (if only their efforts to actually sell it had caught on in the same way) ^^;

Aesthetica sounds dodgy as anything, but YOLO...I'm getting both.

I thought it had a nice concept, but found it dragged it's feet too much. There was a nice surprise development part way through but then it drags its feet on that part too. Couple of questionable fan service moments aswell. On the plus side it did end in such a way that a second season looked like it might be interesting, or at least more substantial.

Looking at Amazon I'm somewhat surprised to see a barrage of 5 star reviews, with a handful of 3's & 4's, some reviews I've seen elsewhere really slammed it so it's odd not to see a few low ones on Amazon
