New Anime Releases 13/07/2014

I have the US BD for Kamisama Kiss and I kinda lost interest in Ikkitousen after the long gaps between releases...;_;

Nothing for me this week,
Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecuter - Not a high priority as the long gaps between series means I have less interest in it
Kamisama Kiss - Plan on importing the Region A bd at some point
 
I would've picked up Kamisama if it was on Blu Ray. I can understand why they didn't take the risk with it though.

Ikki Tousen ..nope. I tried the first season & hated it, even though the concept was pretty cool.

Why not get the US or Australian Blu-ray release then.

That's the eventual plan. That comment was more towards the fact that if MVM had it on BD, I would've picked it up from them instead of importing.
 
If you are going to pick up one DVD instead of a Blu-ray, Kamisama Kiss would be the one. It's animation and design aesthetic is such that the benefits it sees from an HD upgrade are less than for other contemporary titles. And the positive thing about MVM's DVD release is that it's NTSC, and encoded progressively, so you can watch it with 24 fps playback on compatible equipment, and there's no fudging around with the audio.

Then again, if you really want lossless audio and nicer subtitles (although Funimation did use a nice white font for this DVD), Blu-ray is the way to go.
