A number of new anime sequels/spin-offs have been announced recently.

Though specific details are sparse at this early stage, a new (third) season of Black Lagoon was officially announced in Japan earlier this week. Of course, the two previous (13-episode) seasons of the stylish action anime are currently being released in the UK by MVM.

New information on the recently announced animated shorts connected with Dragon Ball Z and One Piece has been posted on the AnimeNation Blog.
The Dragon Ball Z short will be titled "Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!!" while the One Piece short will be an adaptation of Romance Dawn, mangaka Eiichiro Oda's two-chapter precursor to his famous later work, One Piece.

A new 30 minute Inuyasha anime has been announced. Again, details are sparse, but as Rumiko Takahashi's long-running Inuyasha manga finally finished in June after 12 years of serialization, speculation is rife that the animators may return to her story to finish it.
