Issue 3 of NEO, the popular UK (almost dedicated) anime magazine, officially hit UK shop shelves yesterday (Thursday 3rd Feb). February's issue contains lengthy features on Astro Boy, Trigun and JPop. Read the official NEO website for more information.

In related news, the March issue will be sporting a Full Metal Alchemist cover image.

This is definently the best issue yet, though I'm still spotting mistakes and the reviews slightly annoy me, the writing is a lot tighter and the whole magazine seems to have an improved focus. I hope it's selling well.

Also, I was really chuffed to see the FMA cover preview. The reality that it's finally coming to the UK got me hyped up for the next few months :)

Hmmm... I've taken out a six month suscription but I think each issue is around £3.50. Not a bad price and the magazine shows signs of constantly improving, hopefully with a cover-DVD soon or later!

£3.50? I think there'll be no harm in investigating. Thanks for the info. :)

I'll look in Chester for the mag. I've only seen it once however, in Manchester, and instead of buying it I bought a ton of manga and Newtype USA from Forbidden Planet. Some strange people shop there for US comics...

Try Travelling Man, it's just around the corner from FP and usually cheaper. Although I guess it's a bit of a trek if you live near Chester :p

Well, I've avoided picking up this mag because I'm a super-cheapsakte and can't stand to pay over the odds for skimpy magazines, but I'll give this issue a go if I can find it.

Bought mine yesterday, although I have to admit it was purely to support the sales of Neo, as I wasn't very impressed with it :(

It had a nice review of Trigun but that was it for me.

I bought my copy today. I've only skimmed through it so far, but I like the fact it covers other areas like J-Pop and Eastern films (and to a lesser extent, games).

I read some of the anime reviews and would say my only criticism of the magazine is maybe the reviews aren't that substantial.

I'll be able to give a better verdict in a few days or so (not that anyone is interested, of course :D ).

Bought my copy at the weekend , wasnt particularly many things of interest in there for me , I enjoyed the preview of Paradise Kiss and the albeit brief look at Howls Moving Castle. But I preferred issue 2 to this one in terms of articles that got my attention.

I've had it for over a week and I've hardly read anything! I get distracted see. I did read the foreign film reviews though... :)
