I got my copy yesterday without any problems (glad I did because I wrote the "Reader Review" for this issue - first time I've gone into print nationwide).

Just Passing Through's link explains just about everything with regards to AoD. In terms of previews, the issue mentions the following shows being released in 2012.

* Welcome to the NHK (9th Jan)
* Arrietty (9th Jan)
* Tekken: Blood Vengeance (6th Feb)
* Fairy Tail (5th March)
* Naruto Sippuden: Bonds (April)
* Bleach (March)
* Mardock Scramble (12th March)
* Black Lagoon (May)
* Roujin-Z (May)
* Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike (Q3)
* Trigun: Badlands Rumble (TBC)
* Planzet (TBC)
* Tiger and Bunny (Q3)

They also briefly mention GITS: Stand Alone Complex, Solid State Society (Blu-Ray), Chasohead, Bakka and Test Season 1, Angel Beats, and Hetalia.

Hold on..... Black Lagoon 3, Planzet and Chasohead haven't been annouced yet have they? Who is licensing them?

Both Black Lagoon and Planzet are licensed by Manga/Kaze according to NEO (so given what they've said about AoD we may want to take that with a pinch of salt). No mention is made about who's licensing Chaoshead.

The only time I have had anything in print (that I remember anyway) is having a question for Haruka Takachiho listed on Nozomi's series site for Dirty Pair Original TV series which was later published in the booklet that came with Nozomi's box set.

http://dirty-pair.rightstuf.com/

Fan Question: Adam Warren and Toren Smith created several Dirty Pair comics for American readers between 1988 and 2002. Did you have a chance to read any of them? How close to your vision of the Dirty Pair do you think Warren and Smith got? – Ian C.

Takachiho: I have read them. I was quite surprised when I first saw the artwork. Someone asked me the same question at a convention in the U.S., in what I thought was a private conversation. I responded that I thought the artwork was a little iffy, and that immediately spread like wildfire through the American press… and then the creators made a major effort to adjust their designs.

SUNRISE: Since it was being made into an American comic, were you able to see the designs from the start?

Takachiho: Yeah. We exchanged ideas back and forth a few times, and when I said it looked good, they started production. But as it was being drawn, they added in Japanese fads and fashion… all sorts of little variations. It was around that time that I made the "iffy" comment, and the title once again changed directions a bit and got even better. They were still learning back then, so their transformation was pretty incredible.

Why would Neo just lie about the AOD things? Don't they work closely with the uk distruibtors?

I doubt they lied, they probably just got hold of a rumour and ran with it, and didn't realise it was wrong.

Is that Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society, or are they releasing SAC on Blu-Ray? D: dear god please say yes.

I had a couple of letters published in the Official Nintendo Magazine; including one about how my cat in Nintendogs+Cat is evil.

As for Chaos;Head, if it does get licensed here, I'd expect MangaUK to pick it up. After all, it's a FUNimation series and it received an American blu-ray release that MangaUK can pass up on so we all import and they moan about it on twitter.

So no one is having any trouble getting a copy of the new neo then? why is south london being so **** then?

As someone from the North I can give you a load of reasons why south London is ****, and for that matter, the south and London. ^_^

Why the hell are you buying that rag anyway?

In terms of British anime publications there isn't much choice. Besides, as I mentioned earlier, I wrote the "Reader Review" for the latest editon.

Just because there isn't much choice doesn't mean you go with what's there. If you buy their magazine, they'll think the crap they print is what people want.

I'd rather try and improve the publication than get rid of it altogether.

I probably will pick up a copy of Otaku USA, but I still think that the UK should have an anime publication. If NEO isn't good enough, people should do something about it. Complain to them, try sending in more worthy articles yourself, start a rival publication - what the actual answer is, I'm not sure.
