Has anyone seen this? The first DVD volume turned up today and I'll probably check it out later.
It's one of those shows most anime fans tend to shun. The artwork is hardly larger than life and it looks a bit too grown up for the fan-service fans.
Of course, Master Keaton is the first anime adaptation of Naoki Urasawa's works; aka the genius behind Monster. The series was also produced by the same creative team behind the Monster anime; so animation is by Madhouse, direction by Masayuki Kojima and music by Kuniaki Haishima. It looks great, but sadly seems to have passed under the rader of most. Apparently, it's highly episodic too, so I'm interested to see how the characterization and drama is handled.
Anyways- should be good! Any opinions?
