My Tattoo

Well i've decided im going to go get myself a tattoo sometime this year, better doing it now so i can blame it on my youth :lol: I didn't know what kind of tattoo i wanted but after watching Black Lagoon i've decided to steal Revy's as a concept/inspiration. Thing about that is every image i've got of it is different, mainly due to the difficulties of animating the same image in hundreds of different shots so i'm going to put my own stamp on it but follow the basic design.

It will wrap around my arm/shoulder/neck just like Revy's but the actual design isn't final itself, i'm going to head to the local artists and get thier thoughts and some prices because i think they might be able to come up with something better than i can based on the actual images of Revy.

Heres my first try anyway, doodled it out on a bit paper and then scanned it into photoshop. Without a tablet it's hard to get some of the lines right as you can see but it's the basis of what i want, while not as cramped.

I'm guessing atleast £200-300 for any half decent artist, could even be more. Know a few people that paid quite a bit and one of my friends is covered in the buggers, and i mean covered. So if anyone will know it will be him.

Yeah, my Dad has a few but he hasn't needed a touch up ye. That's been about 6 years or so now. It really depends.

My plan at the moment is to initially get the outline done, i wouldn't be able to get it all done at once anyway, and then see how it looks. That way i can either leave it as it is or get it fully coloured. It's a bit cramped on that drawing tough, i want the spacing more like Revy's than the one i've done but i'll leave that to the pro's.

done this earlier on, i would kill for a tablet really. Alot closer to the outside arm design in that picture. But looking on other photos i've seen different designs, still need to sort out the inside arm which is driving me crazy. Or i just won't get it on the inside on my arm and take some pointes from my first drawing and just have it go over my shoulder.
