It has been officially confirmed that there will be an anime version of <em>Weekly Shonen Jump</em>'s superhero manga <em>My Hero Academia</em>.
Rumours about an anime adaptation began last week, starting with <em>Shonen Jump</em> saying that had a big announcement, while a few days ago when the manga's official Twitter feed briefly posted a picture saying that an anime had been green-lit. Now it has been officially confirmed the anime will go ahead, although details on the production are still unknown.
<em>My Hero Academia </em>is set in a version of the world where 80% of the world’s population has some form of "quirk" - a superpower. Thus most people are superheros. Schoolboy Izuku Midoriya however is one of the 20% of people who are "quirkless", and is thus bullied for having no powers. Despite this he still wants to be a hero, and gets a chance when he meets his idol: All Might, the world's greatest hero.
