It's that time again and we're standing on the brink of another exciting month for the UK. Be sure to vote and keep in mind, I've only included first and last volumes (as well as popular one off movies etc) in the poll.

As if you didn't already know, May comes packaged with perhaps the most anticipated UK release of the year - Full Metal Alchemist #1, but we also see UK debuts for the popular Read or Die TV and even a special edition of Miyazaki's classic Spirited Away.

I'm going to be predictable and put my vote behind Full Metal Alchemist. While the first two or three volumes may leave people doubting, FMA quickly becomes an amazing series, one I can safely say is up there with the best of the last 10 years. The first volume itself contains two great episodes about the young brothers Al and Ed attempting to resurrect their dead mother and paying a high price for their errors; it's heart wrenching, compulsive stuff.

What are you looking forward to?

Its a hard choice but i'd have to say Mobile Suit Gundam, ive been itching for more Gundam stuff ever since Endless Waltz was released

I'm also going to take the predictable route of going for FMA, from what I've heard it sounds like a great series, and I can't wait to see for myself. If not for lack of money, I'd have probably already imported volume 1 just to get the CD and tin box. I'm also looking forward to the Mobile Suit Gundam movie, though- like Hybridchild I've been wanting to see more Gundam stuff for a while.

Seeing as I intend to leave FMA for now , I've gone with ROD The TV #1 .
Looking at reviews and things ive read on the series it looks to be the type of show I tend to go for , so hopefully it will live up to expectations.

I only am interested in 2 titles this month anyway really. the aforementioned ROD The TV #1 , and Rune Soldier #6.

I'm torn between R.O.D The TV and Fullmetal Alchemist. Well, I would be if I hadn't already imported them, but that's not the point ...

I went for R.O.D in the end, mostly because I expect Alchemist to get more votes from other people.

It's not on the list, but i'm really looking forward to Witch Hunter Robin. I've heard nothing but good things about this series and it was all the rage a while back, and no it's not a magical girl show (no offense magical girl fans).

i voted for R.O.D TV not becuase i think it will be better then FMA just becuase ive seen fma already but ive not seen R.OD. TV.

oh and i noticed on play.com that Spirited Away: Special Edition has had a very big push back till 05/12/2005

gah, im looking forward to the end of Abenbashi but theres the first dvd of FMA... and ROD the TV (even tho i own the r1s im getting the uk ones too) oh and Gundam Movie 1.

Guess i go for other, too many this month ;) :p

None of them interest me (or I already have them) but I went for BBC2040, as I would contemplate this if I weren't saving up for part 4 of Marmalde Boy!!

Well someone better tell the staff at HMV Oxford street :p
They had section labels for FMA and ROD the TV and everything.....

I hate this, why cant MVM and ADV release things on different days!!

FMA and RODis out the same day as Chobits Vol.2 and System of a down's new album!! Great more money I will have to try and find somewhere.

i get paid month so i liek it when all the DVDs ome out on the same day as it means i know how much it all going to cost me at the beinging of the my pay month.

oh and i wait haveing to wait :)

i voted for FMA

even though i have the r1 version (thats right, with the LE tin box and OST1 hehehe)

i feel that this anime will take the uk anime by storm,

and the next title i feel which is highly anticipated is ROD TV. this series looks very good, with the action and stuff.

I am really looking forward to watching FMA and I hope its as good as everyone says it is cuz its sounds really good.
