More details about MVM's Fate/Zero

MVM are doing a LE, wow. Madman have started doing collectors boxes with certain releases. Now it's just Manga that need to get with the times and start doing art boxes as well.

I assume MVM are getting their discs from Madman.

Now part one is confirmed as being out on April 28th .. both on DVD, BD and the LE collectors edition (separate DVD/BD editions) - http://www.anime-on-line.com/xcart/home.php?cat=59
EDIT: Part 2 on DVD/BD is confirmed as May 26th.

EDIT 2: I asked Tony if there would be a slot for Part 2 ala Manga's BD FMA Brotherhood due to no Part 2 LE CE ..he said "That's the plan" :3 - https://twitter.com/MVM_UK/status/414057654961463296

... oooops. My apologies Matt :p

I thought Fate/Stay Night was fairly average so I wasn't going to buy Fate/Zero, but now there is a Limited Edition I'm definitely putting a preorder down. Which just goes to show how easily distracted I am by shiny things :p

I might have to give Fate/Zero a buy now, more so to support not only a CE release, but a CE release without the hassle of additional disks. :) And the price is reasonable too. :)

Looking forward to the announcements to follow now.

Wasn't the box for that thin flimsy card? I really hope the box is sturdy like what Funimation use. Any chance someone could Message them on twitter, see if they could let use know.

I've heard from many people that the Fate/Stay Night anime was ****. I watched the first 9 episodes and couldn't get into it at all.

Fate/Zero on the other hand is so, so, SO much better, and it's visually impressive too. It's easily my favourite series from last year.
You'd be doing yourself a disservice not watching it because the FSN anime was complete meh.

Fate Zero is definitely great, I was blown away by the first Aniplex BD set, really looking forward to the conclusion, which will hopefully be with me early Jan.

Definitely good to see MvM doing Blu-ray for this.

In defence of Fate/Stay Night, lets face it, it's older and didn't know Fate would be so popular even now so it tried to cover all the arcs in someway. Zero has a distinct unfair advantage being made now and being based on a prequel book that has just one focused story. Personally I'm hoping the success of Zero will lead to a modern remake of Fate, then Bladeworks and if we are lucky Heaven's Feel.

Ufotable are working on a Fate/Stay Night project. We don't know what exactly they are animating yet though.

Ops, I know about the remake, what I meant was I hope we can have 3 x 26 episodes covering Fate then UBW then HF. They all build very much upon each other so it would make good sense imo.

Well, I did watch F/SN after things like FMA Brotherhood, so I suppose it was always going to struggle with me. If you guys think it's worth a look then I'll definitely give it a try on Crunchyroll at some point. I still remember the key points of the plot from F/SN, so I think I have a general idea what F/Z will be about. Maybe then I can work out why so many people are obsessed with Saber

I do remember seeing bits of F/Z in various AMVs, and it does look like an anime worthy of nothing less than BluRay, so thumbs up to MVM for that :thumb:
