We also have a quick round-up of other Gundam titles that are available for UK legal streaming too!

Gundam is still growing strong as it reaches the end of the year, with the latest release Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt Bandit Flower will soon become available on home video in Japan on Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray, both with English dub & subtitled support. With that release incoming there’s some interesting news to share.

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt December Sky

To celebrate the release of Bandit Flower, Sunrise and its special YouTube channel GundamInfo have announced that Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt December Sky will be made available for legal streaming in its entirety in both English dubbed and subtitled until 8th December 2017 at 17:00 JST (09:00 BST).

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt December Sky is a compilation movie of the four individual episodes released prior. The story takes place at the same time as Mobile Suit Gundam ’79 during the One Year War. While the UK home video release has not yet been revealed the Japanese home video release is available with English support (dub & subtitled) on both Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray.

During the One Year War of U.C. 0079, the Earth Federation’s “Moore Brotherhood” and the Principality of Zeon’s “Living Dead Division” engage in a fierce battle at the “Thunderbolt Sector”, a shoal zone in the former Colony Side 4 “Moore”. After successfully infiltrating Zeon’s sniper field, ace Federation pilot and jazz enthusiast Io Fleming is given control of the latest Gundam prototype. To combat the new Federation threat, Zeon amputee pilot and ace sniper Daryl Lorenz sacrifices his humanity to directly interface with an experimental Zaku II unit.

The sequel compilation movie Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt Bandit Flower compiles the next four individual episodes that were released throughout earlier this year. Bandit Flower is available for home video in Japan on 8th December 2017. All of the Thunderbolt episodes are based on the manga series written by Yasuo Ohtagaki and is available to read in print & digitally from Viz Media under their Signature label.

Also Available on GundamInfo

GundamInfo offers plenty of Gundam titles for the UK as well as other regions throughout the world. These are also all free to watch in HD when available, mostly subtitled and a couple dubs when available. The most notable titles are with the Gundam Build Fighters as all of the episodes including the latest series Gundam Build Fighters Battlogue are available to stream as soon as they are available! So here’s a list of titles that are available to watch via the GundamInfo YouTube channel!

And Then There’s Crunchyroll!

Thought that GundamInfo was the only source of legal streaming? Crunchyroll has quite a fair amount of Gundam available. The HD options are available for Premium members but the episodes are all free to watch in standard definition with ads playing throughout. So here’s a list of titles that are available to watch on the service. All listed are Japanese with English subtitles only.

That’s it for Gundam in terms of legal streaming. Iron-Blooded Orphans is also available on FunimationNow (dub versions should be incoming) and Gundam Reconguista in G is on Animax (but we don’t recommend that service).

Anime Limited will be handling the Gundam franchise for the United Kingdom, Ireland and France on behalf of Sunrise. So far they have released Mobile Suit Gundam ’79, Mobile Suit Gundam: Movie Trilogy, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, Gundam Reconguista in G, and currently Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ with the second half scheduled for December 2017. Turn-A Gundam and perhaps other Gundam titles are incoming for 2018.

More ways to watch Gundam is always a good thing, especially when they're the obscenely expensive imported blu-ray release kind!
